Will the 1GGTE bolt up to my g52f gearbox in my Landcruiser Bundera?
Would I just need the 1GGTE bellhousing?

Has anyone replaced their 22r with this engine?
What sort of fuel consumption are people experiencing these engines?

Any info would be most appreciated. BTW Nice site.
Cheers,
Nick

In the process of doing that right now.

Well replaing the engine at least, it will be going into an RA65 not a Landcruiser.

Not sure about the gearbox as I had a W55 gearbox and changing it to a W58, not sure how a 4WD gearbox would fit on the 1G.

Well assuming that the gearbox fits the 22RE, it should fit onto the 1G as well. I could be wrong on this.

So all the toyota boxes that were fitted to the 22r series should bolt up to the 1ggte engine. This would be using the 1ggte bellhousing I presume.

Correct?

Where did you get your 1/2cut?
If you dont mind me asking what did you pay?

Cheers,
Nick

The G-series bellhousing is different to the R-series one. You may have a problem with mounting the box.

Then again, GiantTomato was checking to see if one of the G-series boxes had the same gearbox pattern as the W58...so in that case you may be in luck.

I got my half cut through CVAP... one of this forum's sponsors.

You should be able to get one for around $2.5k.

All Jap in Brisbane have 2 1ggte manual half cuts at the moment for $1950. I was quite upset to find this out as I bought my 1ggte form them a month before hand jst as engine and box Sad

Could someone please tell me what one of these half cuts would include?

I am not use to this sort of terminology!

Cheers,
Nick

a half cut is half-a-car

so whatever is in the front half of a car normmaly, you can expect to get in a half cut, including gearbox (unless the importer has taken a few trophy items out of the engine bay)...

not really
if you want engine with loom and ecu, your best bet is to buy a half cut. almost all "engine" packages have cut looms.

besides, you'd be suprised how much you could sell the gearbos and other half-cut goodies for, and make up more money than the difference between engine and hlaf-cut
