Hey everybody, i have an RA23 Celica and am trying to gather all possible info on 3S-GTE's as i wanna put one in my car. If anyone has any info on them, incl. prices, mods required, etc plz send it to me at my hotmail or PM me. even where to buy engine, get it installed, and i also need a price on AWD gearbox

u might want to try asian auto spares in QLD. I got my 3sgte halfcut(which had an AWD gear box) for $2200, delivered. If u get the halfcut then u will also get the wiring harness, comp,etc.

You might want to buy a measuring tape and take a look att he difference between RA23 front suspension and the front suspension out of an AWD car. The engine in the GT4 (the AWD 3SGTE) is mounted east-west with the gear box on the end, the engine in the RA23 is mounted north-south with the gearbox in the tunnel.
I really doubt the RA23 bay is wide enough for what you're after.
Stick with rear wheel drive, you'll have your work cut out for you as it is without starting from behind the eight ball with a conversion that is more like changing the body on a GT4 than changing the engine in an RA23.

yep, unless you're *loaded* (I'm talking over $20k here) dont even consider the awd conversion.
there's a reason most people with the ra2x go for an 18r-geu or 1g-gte, although the 3s-gte would be really nice (tho more expensive)
