Took out GTS-t and SS Commodore last night

1) SS or S Commodere fanging up from behind in the far right lane (i was merging in from far left into middle lane... saw him coming and gave it some stick up the hill... mind you i was in 3rd and didnt bother goin back to second... so he passes me for about 2 car lengths and then the story's over 10 seconds later, all he saw was by fumes !
2) GTS-t with HKS Sequential BOV (love them!) pulls up against me on the M4, i cut out pumped it and then he didnt even bother chasing. He saved himself the embarassment.
Anyone know what engine the SS / S Commodores have ?

I'm no Commodore expert, but I believe the SS would be a 5L V8 (5.7L if it's the latest generation commodore) and the S would be a 3.8L 6?

The SS commodore also has different submodels.
5.0 Litre V8
Std 165kw
then theres the HSV enhanced 185kw
Im no expert either, but im sure its right.

like what they said, but if its a late model S Bombadore, then it would have the supercharged v6, with standard factory roughness.
puts out a truck stomping 171kw!

Les, it may well have been a 225kW HSV. They have 6 speed gearboxes so they're not that fast off the line. Plus they have to lug around an extra third of the weight of your car!
I've raced many V8s before of all different kinds and all different states of modification and I've only been beaten once and that thing sounded like a Pro Streeter...

no worries now though, as I said in me other post...the Celica is in for repairs for my accident.. give me 3-6 mths before i smoke anymore vehicles..
The only things i will be smoking now are little girls on rollerblades
