Can someone assist ?

A DELL laptop power cord costs $5 and delivery from Singapore $24... making it $30....

Does anyone know where I can get a cable that is compatible ? Or do I have to buy original DELL parts ?

I need it cuz the plug has a Malaysian head, not an Aussie head.

when it comes to DELL, you can't get ANY aftermarket parts - you can only get DELL parts, esp with their power supplies.

If you want the Malaysian part, I would think that you would have to get it from there. Dont know any place that has those sorts of parts sorry.

Can't you find a Malay -> Aussie converter?

Where's Sam? He should be able to answer this.

It could be of two types, either the british ones (big square things) or two little round plugs. I'm almost 95% sure that it will be with the British style plug. You could either buy an adaptor here, or cut it and hook up an aussie plug.

Sorry - just realised you need the one with the malaysian type plug.. not an aussie one.

Either way, you're going to have to buy a Dell original - they don't use a standard type plug into the transformer.

So you want the cord that goes from the laptop power pack to the power socket in the wall?

If so, I can get you an aussie one which if you are living in Australia is what you'd want right?

Hmmm what do i want for it... how about a 4 pack of cougar bourbon and coke? i think these go for $10!

Where it goes into the power back, is it 2 pins or 3? As Dell have 2 different style power packs.

Cheers

Yeah, it's legit, I know people who've bought stuff from there before.
Don't forget that you have to pay auction fees and delivery... Smile

It's better to go with Joel, but I thought I'd keep your options open.
