FS:IMPORT RWD 4AGE MOTOR SOLD	Wed, 16 July 2003 09:05

IMPORT RWD MOTOR It has Injectors RWD inlet manifold RWD exhuast manifold Spark plugs Alternator TVIS RWD Waterpump and RWD water lines Has Distributor but missing cap and rotor *bits and pieces of the wiring loom Ive just changed the camshaft seals,front and rear main seals with genuine toyota seals. By red lettering, does the motor look like this but in RWD configuration? If so, it is an early gen AE92 Bigport motor with TVIS but 7 rib block which has been swapped around to RWD configuration. This is the engine I'm having rebuilt ATM and will be going into my AE86 soon. That is a good price for the motor but I assume the ECU and MAP sensor are missing? [Report message to a moderator]

Sorry for the confusion - got too many windows open so mixed up my forums ... Someone's been saving some rude pics on his server apart from this pics he's hosted ... just mixed up the windows and typed to the wrong one in a rush ... doh ... Nothing to concern you DacbietAE86 - sorry to have scared you. Anyway, you'd need to first post your pics up on the web on a server or ftp host and then get the URL address of the picture: ie. http://www.members.optushome.com.au/magneticrose/R ed9.JPG Then, when posting your thread, just insert the whole URL address between and '[/IMG_]. ie. [_IMG]http://www.members.optushome.com.au/magneticrose/R ed9.JPG[_/IMG] I have placed underscores in to stop the picture from displaying and show you the code. Just leave out the underscores when posting the pics. You can preview first before posting to see if it works. If it does, then you will see your picture: Enough tech talk and good luck with the sale! so there is no ECU for this motor? Which ECU could i use? The T-vis from say, an AE82, or the AE92 tvis one or the 100Kw one? ANd by parts of the loom - what do you mean exactly? [Report message to a moderator]

witz baby - you'd need the ae86/ae82 tvis ECU for this. the ae92 didn't get TVIS they did away with it. i didn't think the 4AGE came out with an auto. thats an auto flexplate on the back of that motor! [Report message to a moderator]

There is no ECU but yeah Grega your right you cna use an ae86/ae82 tvis ECU . About that plate thingy, Ive got a 100kw 4age motor as well but i sold it to a friend already, It looks the same on the 100kw motor. you still got the engine? that stamp thing on the back doesn't mean it's been rebuilt. wreckers/importers put those on as a safeguard so that if you take the engine back under warranty, and it is not there, the engine has overheated, and therefore your warranty is void....smart mutherfacka's.... anyway, i'm keen, where you located? Hey just a thought... "Pack & Send" shipped my 18Rgeu from hornsby, NSW, from his door to mine for about $200 This was a fuckin heavy engine (4AGE would be heaps lighter) had clutch, radiator, spare altinator, and few bits and pieces weighing it down even more. So i guess it would be around $170 for just that motor, but ring them they were heaps helpful. BUT... they DID lose my 20 year old 18RG air flow metre and the UNIfilter it was attatched to....... well at least they knocked the price down to like next to nothing after i had a little spew at them and reminded what the $15 insurance was for, hahah .... was pretty easy to organise, anyway good luck [Report message to a moderator]

I dont know how many kms the motor has done. I have copmpressions tests on paper stating it is still very good and has been started. I dont know the redline as i bought it from a importer so it has never been in a car in australia. Keep working those hours buddie! [Report message to a moderator]
