MY 1G TT tend to fluctuate the RPM , with or without aircond and especially after a hard run. How can i solve this ?..Is there like that thingy which controls the vacumm for the throttle to idle the aircon when it's off/on, what's it called FICD ??...
Or is the 1G fully automated, mind u this is a minor fluctuation.
cheers

Has anybody else noticed this with there 1G?

check your throttle body linkages aren't sticky with grime.
check for air leaks that push out after hard driving.
even check your o2 sensor isn't dirty, or 'fouling' because it runs a bit rich after hard driving.

Guys, heads up - i had the previous day fooled around with the TPS, today again i tried and found out that it actually also affects the idle speed.(interesting).
So i set TPS in original position, pulled ECU fuse and reset the whole thing, NOW not so much a fluctuation, hardly notice it. Could be air leakage somewhere,
So will have to check out the vac/throttle lines.

sorry to ask such a silly question, but what exactly does the TPS look like? I have never really played around with my 1g

Guys, just thought you all would like to know, today pulled apart Throttle Body, and my suspicions were confirmed, GASKET !! that sits on the face of the T/body, it had all the vacumm breather holes sealed. I know it sounds far-fetched, but this is the second time i've encountered it.
First time old 1G-GEU engine which i bought for my Cress GX60, it was second-hand, had pick up and idling probs, same with the 1G-TT..a new gasket made with breather holes, now it's fine.
No harm in checking T/body just to be sure..
