From what i have seen the RA23 doors and glass? are the same, but i have never tried to fit them myself. The other models i don't think so. You could try calling celica spares in sydney as they are continuously pulling all these cars apart and would have a good idea of the differences. The number is (02)9756 6606

Doors are interchangable for all A2 chassis Celicas, but the glass is different for the liftback and coupe models to match the different roofline.
Frank: side intrusion beams were introduced with the RA23 in 1975.

I noticed a '75 or '76 celica at a wreckers with the side intrusion bars, but mine's a late(ish) '76 and I had a '77 TA-23 and neither of them had them. Why would that be? I doubt it's gonna be something that would be on the options list......

I always thought that the side-intrusion beams were only from the RA60 onwards. Knowing all the specs and differences Toyota engineered into the cars, it doesn't surprise me a lot to know earlier cars had them.
Maybe Toyota just made the decision to make ALL the RA6X cars have side intrusion beams, whereas they hadn't done all the previous series.

Toyota engineered a lot of different setups for all the A6X cars, kinda silly really. There are so many different specs I've seen in them its mind boggling!

Side intrusion beams become mandatory in Australia in either 75 or 76.
Bigworm: my guess would be that your cars were either imports, or had doors from an import or a pre-75 Celica.

My 1976 corolla did not have side intrusion bars, my 1978 corollas do. The changeover would be for most models around that time.
