anybody know how hot it has to be for your rotors to go blue?

just made my turn blue. and would it fuck anything up?

Blueing of cast iron occurs above 450-500 degrees C. Damage is more likely to occur if you got to that temp in quick time rather than gradually getting there. Check for cracks and distortion.

also check that rotors are not undersized!!!! this is very vital as they will become weak and overheat very easy!!!

ahh... i got them blue after a couple of laps around my block.
the rotors are on me corolla gti 258mm dia i think. wif kevlar pads(just the cheap street ones.) if the warp ..more reason to get slotted ones.lol.

Different pad types can also slightly color your rotors....I think the kevlars (eg Ultimates) can slightly discolor your rotors a bluish color.
