this relates to guys who built there own hybrid motor. when in the building process, did the conrod cap bolts every touch the block of the engine when turning it over by hand!!!

justin i remember reading that some of the early blocks had this problem but the late ones (ie: the 2TGEU) didn't.

nothing a burr and dremel won't fix...(but don't go overboard)

it is a 2tgeu block that i am using, its on the crank that is the prob, its the bottom of the bore!

I am using a 3T block, so there is no way I would have a problem like that myself. But like the other guy said, just grind the block away where needed.

i'm in the process of doing the same thing,
haven't tried fitting the crank yet as i don't have the specs for
toqueing down the main caps litte ends etc.
My block is also a 2t-geu.
Is it possible your original block was blown up and the head and internals transfered to another 2t block?

I'll see if i get the same problem.. i hope not!!!
