I got a problem with my GZE loosing boost.
I used to get 12psi and now only getting 9-10psi.
Its a map sensored AE101 gze

What would be some things to chk?
Im thinking could be boost leak from hoses via the VSV/BSV etc

The sc12 sounds fine and doesnt make noises apart from its regular whine.
No bearing noise etc.

Ive tightened the s/c idler pulley.

Doesnt sound like belt slip.

Got any ideas?? Crying or Very Sad

Might be related to your high idle... Air leak somewhere between s/c and intake manifold?

Definately check all the joins in your piping, as well as the pipes for any leaks. They are not easy to spot. Also try checking the intake, check the air filter, make sure there is nothing stuck in your cold air feed.

It is possible that the ABV or the VSV for the ABV is getting stuck and allowing some boost to vent.

Freak it is always a good idea if you have the original i/c to give it a good flush out with thinners to remove any built-up oil residue etc. that gets sucked through the system via the cam cover.

it has also been documented on a site i once read (i wouldnt know where the link was to it now) that boost can escape back into the inlet track via the s/c crankcase ventialtion system (ACV).
they fixed this by taking the air control valve that resides on the top of the s/c. then just joining the three vent lines together. i had this done on my s/c for 2 years with-out any problem occuring to the s/c.

here is how to check the ABV, ABV VSV and the ACV.
