WTB Lexus/Soarer V8 power steer pump. Wed, 29 October 2003 09:12 Go to next message
Hi guys, I am looking for a power steering pump off one of the Toyota 4 Litre V8's. Anyone who has done a conversion using a Crown/Lexus/Soarer V8, and hasn't used the power steering pump, could you please email me. If anyone knows where there might be a pump, could you please please email me.

thanks, Chuck.

Cressie Supra, yes man that would do just nicely, as my 1UZ pump has a scored shaft, and no matter how many seals I throw at it, the damn thing leaks within a couple thousand K's. So yeah you could certainly keep the pulley! When will you know for sure whether you need the pump or not? and if you dont need it how much you willing to accept 4 it?

Thanks for replying, regards Chuck.

i intend to take the motor home from its current resting place in about 3-4 weeks
i will then compare the mounting brackets between the two and establish whether retaining my cressidas pump is possible.
so until then, i will not know

i'm guessing you will just need the pump and not the bracket?

i will try to have a look in between then and now for you, but i can only see it on saturdays (i work 8-6 mon/fri) so it makes it hard

the main things that are going to stop me from doing this are whether the 1uz pulley will fit the cressida one, and whether i can mount the cressida one to the 1uz

i will be in touch

as for price
gimme a dollar figure, and its yours

Peewee

Yeah thanks for that Peewee, I would only need the pump, no bracket, no pulley. I have a spare 1JZ-GTE power steer pump, that might be more adaptable for you than it was for me, so if you think a swap is order that's ok with me, or as a cash offer for your pump, how's $50.00 sound.

regards Chuck.
