Time: Meeting in Mittagong at 11AM
Meet: Toymods to meet at the Bull n Bush carpark, crnr Seven Hills Rd and Windsor Rd Baulkham Hills at approx 8:30am to leave by 9am.
Both Toymods and CCG are meeting up at 11am in Mittagong
Destination: Lake Alexandra Reserve, Mittagong. This is located on Queen St, Mittagong.
Details: Toymods and Canberra Celica Group (CCG) are going to meet up for a bit of a socialise, chat and a swap meet!
Basically the relaxed plan for the day is:
- Rock up 11am
- Park our cars, and leave things STATIC ( no burnouts, donuts etc!!)
- Have a chat, open up our boots and trailers and rummage through each other's treasure
- Toymods will bring down the Toymods trailer , incl drinks and BBQ supplies
- There is a BBQ and sheltered seating area available, which we will certainly be taking control of. There is also a kiddies playground, ducks and plenty to keep young kiddies amused
- As we get bored of going through parts and stuff, we can wander around, play footy or whatever. Toymods vs CCG?
- From there its whatever we feel like on the day!
Toymods will leave Baulkham Hills and go directly south thru Parra, down Woodville Rd, onto the Hume Hwy towards Liverpool then via the Hume Hwy directly to Mittagong. I know its a boring straight line drive, but it's early in the morning, and there will be plenty of time at the end of the day to visit Maquarie Pass etc and go through the Gong.

Since we each live a long distance from each other, we shall meet on some "equal ground" about equal distances from Canberra and Sydney for an opportunity to put faces to some names, ogle at each others cars, have a bit of a boot sale, play some footy, have a BBQ and just generally have a socialise with some fellow Toyota lovers.
This is bound to be a relatively laid back sort of day. Our cars will be remaining static in a carpark, while Toymods runs the BBQ, and everyone has a little fun swapping/selling parts, playing footy or cricket or something and just enjoying ourselves at the nice Lake Alexander.
It's the sort of event you can bring your girlfriends, wives, kids and mates(maybe  ) along to.
But dont forget your Toyotas and boot full of parts!
I look forward to seeing everyone there, including you Canberra boys so we can empty out our shed/garage/driveway and stop parents/wives nagging us!

Thanks for the post Karl. We are REALLY looking forward to meeting up with all the TOYMODS guys again, especially after the excellent day we had back at Dyno Day no. 7.
From all indications we will have a very strong CCG contingent cruising to the meet, with many Toyota fans also coming along for a social meet and greet. If TOYMODS are keen to bring along heaps of stuff, we certainly have plenty of keen buyers looking for a good buy.
BTW-We will be advertising the event in Canberra Times to ensure we get the best coverage. If you wish to discuss any of the program, please call either Phil or I anytime.

We are bringing a few trailers full too Justin so we hope to have some decent parts for you to haggle over!
BTW-For a bit more info on directions to Lake Alexander Reserve. Have a look on www.whereis.com or maybe this might do for our northern Toyota brethren: Lake Alexandra Reserve, Queen Street, Mittagong - Heading south, go through main street, take right fork at lights in centre of town, first street on right. About 300m from Old Hume Highway. (BBQ, Shelter and Toilets)

sorry guys.... i have been trying ALL WEEK to update this thread, but when optus cuts back cable speed, these forums just don't work!
Sydney meeting spot will be at the Bull n Bush Carpark, corner of Windsor Rd and Seven Hills Rd, Baulkham Hills. Enter via Windsor Rd.
We will be meeting there at 8:30am so that we can leave around 9am. Breakky isn't too far away for those who want it after they leave home.
We will be taking the direct route down to Mittagong - south thruough Parramatta and continuing south down Woodville Rd, onto the Hume Hwy towards Liverpool, and then going straight down the Hume direct to Mittagong. We should arrive close to 11am which is when the CCG boys should be arriving.
I know there are a few who wish to "visit" Maquarie Pass and some of the surrounding hills - believe me i'll be giving them a good "visit" on the way home!
If anyone needs to contact me to meet up etc, my contact number is 0404 094 895.

P.S. The Toymods trailer IS being brought down by the official Toymods tow car... and there MIGHT be a bit of room available for a few bigger parts. I might also have some space in the boot - but its only an RA28 remember!
I'm sure there will be enough space between us all to fit everything!

Baulko is a bit far in the wrong direction for me to go for the meet-up (plus it's pretty early too..). If i can raise myself out of bed early enough i'll probably try to meet you guys on the Hume somewhere around Liverpool.

btw - did you cop the traffic on the Hume around Ingleburn coming home? What the hell happened there?
Anyway, 'twas a good day. Not sure how well the parts buying/selling went, but lots of hungry people certainly got a good feed!
It was great to see such a good turnout from the Canberrians, and I'll definitely be making it down for another meetup some-time.

Great day yesterday! Big thanks to Karl and the rest of the TOYMODS guys for setting up and coming along to the meet. We had a cruisy day which was only hampered by the nasty little hail storm that ripped through the park. Even though the swap-meet was dampened by the weather, the good company and BBQ surely made up for it.
After a bit of negotiating, we are now thinking of another meet in the Gong/Kiama area late summer next year to combine a lively cruise (we get to hammer Maquarie Pass!) and a bit more socialising around a beach venue.
With better weather on our side we will certainly get an even better turn out for another great day. Fantastic to catch up with the some of the TOYMODS guys again and hope to see you for another meeting!

was a very good turnout from all the CCG crew. It was my first toymods event and I was welcomed by all, Thanks to everyone (except Anthony who talked me out of bringing a Jumper  )

Was indeed a fun day!
Thanks to all the CCG guys for heading north, and dragging your weather with you () - was really good to see you all again since Dubbo.
To everyone who came along, thanks for an awesome day! I saw some choice parts floating around in the short time that i got to check things out, things like a 3T-E manifold and other rare hooha really are cool to see in the flesh.
Hopefully next time this happens, there will be nothing but sunshine!
BIG THANKS TO PAUL FOR RUNNING THE BBQ! Top stuff mate!

Well Simon, it was a great day and it turns out that there was a fair bit of luck involved with the journey.
Remember me mentioning that the car felt a bit flat for a moment then cleared itself, well it died on me on the way to work yesterday morning. It looks like the computer could be the problem.
I don't suppose anyone has a spare Gen2 1G-GTE ECU handy ?????

Actually it looks like it is a GEN 1.5. It aint a gen 2 but its not a watercooled GEN 1, anyone got any ideas?
