GTi dash help... Tue, 11 November 2003 12:44 Go to next message
any help appreciated.

want to get my dash out to change the blubs inside,
got everything off ok but wasn't sure to yank the dash out, ie about any wires hooked on to it or about the speedo cable.

question if i get it off and unhook the speedo cable , how do i get it back in, there is no space for my clumsy hands anywhere. and does the cable have to go back in the same spot it came out or is it ok to just stick it back in, in any position.

thanks.

you have to press a side lever in on the speedo and it pops out, it just goes straight back on a certain way when you connect it back up. As for geting it out and need some length you can unscrew it in the engine bay and pull it out then pull the dash through which will then pull the cable through the firewall.

It screws back on easy aswell when your done
