Different looking car!. These things cruise down the freeways beutifully, and return good mileage, but round town. Quite heavy for a small 2 litre six 1GGE/ 1GZE/1G-GTE, or if youre lucky 3 litre 7M. Although 7M are prone to headgasket failure! The bloody things rot!. Panels and mechanical bits might be a little hard to find, and therefore expensive. These are generally the cars that are cut in half to supply front cuts, so you may be lucky enough to find a few spares from the guys who have bought half cuts. Hope this helps in some small way.

regards Chuck.

Aside from the usual things like checking for an oil milkshake, blowing oil in general/startup/full throttle and checking the auto trans fluid is red and doesn't smell like burning, check the electrics all over.

EDIT: It is best if you can check everything over first thing in the morning. IE: The car hasn't been warmed up.

which engine
1g geu? 1g gte?
if its the 1g geu, dont bother.. ive got it in my soarer which weighs about 300kg less than a gz20 soarer and its slow as off the line.
Might be a bit better if its manual tho.
Ones with a 1g gte are a quick cruiser.. but not performance cars... too heavy

nope.. they are all gt's as far as im aware... mine a soarer gt and its a 2 litre non turbo
the only different one is gt limited that has all the goodies im pretty sure
looks non turbo to me..
manual or auto?
3 litre would be a non turbo 7m-ge .. should go ok.. but definately not for performance
it will be rather sluggish with a 1g geu
nice cruiser still

That would be a 7M-GTE. Comes with a factory-fitted blown headgasket! Razz

Serious man all i want is a car that goes and has some luxury.

Every fucking car has all these problems.

How common is this blown head? Does it cost lots to get one that is better and wont blow? Is it possible to get one from another engine?

I dont know shit about toyota's i just been into them in the last month so yer thnx for all the info guys.
