i've got a gen2 coplete package in really good nick - cost you less than a gen3 motor for the whole lot.

What are you wanting to do with it? race or street, N/A or turbo?
I have a gen 3 head, Mad ported, undercut valves, billet Tighe cam shafts, shim under buckets and manifold with 20 valve quad throttles and trumpets, would want some good bucks though let me know if you are intersted. Tough head though

don't know what a siezed engine is worth, so don't know, don't care.

Was hoping to get rid of it with the loom and computer though.

I am pretty sure a gen 3 head is a small port MR2 head which I am almost positive is the head from the bathurst spec! the cams are Ivan Tighe Billet turbo grind inlet 230deg @ 50" of lift with a max lift of .422" the cams are square so exhaust is the same

& what sort of $$ would you be selling this head for? are you prepared to seperate the cams from the head?

gen2 head is not worth much, gen 3 head is worth more. if you can get me a pic i can tell you what gen it is.

I would humbly suggest that the 20V throttle bodies are far too small for a performance 3SG engine. One of our gen 3 race engines is strangled on 48mm inlets. Are you sure they are billet cams ??A quick look on the side of any cam lobe will tell--if you see 2 colours/textures they are weld ups. if billets, I may be interested in the cams or the lot. Pls advise

Hi Terry, you know the car and you know the engine! It's Justin here! I know they are billets! I agree with you but this head and cams set up would be a great turbo head as we discussed throttles are too small! but if building a turbo motor this isnt the way to go, you would build a plenum chamber and a single t/b set up!
As for getting a photo the head complete is at my engine builders and I wont have my hands on it for a week or two so as soon as I can I will get you some shots!

Hi justin, so it's that head!!!!!!!!!!!. Last week we got 240hp from our production sports Gen 3 MR2 NA engine. not bad on minimally modified intake and single (big) throttle. I did a lot of research on the cams and exhaust and reckon this is the secret with these engines. had its "sister" engine on dyno giving 265 with quad 48mm. it has a lot more to go as we can rev the shitter out of it. the prod one still has stock rods & crank, so we limit it to 7000. See ya

Terry yeah right sounds pretty good to me! I have to agree with you the cams are pretty critical, you did pretty good to get those figures! I am hoping to be around there with the new one chat again soon

. T . sorry didnt mean to ignore you!! sorry!! I would rather not seperate the cams from the head, after all it is all shimmed up and basically ready to bolt on, oh and by the way it has a set of vernia, wheels injectors and fuel rail aswell. If you are still interested email me on justins_m@yahoo.com.au
