early MA61 out of tank fuel pump. Tue, 25 November 2003 07:17 Go to next message
looking for some info for a friends 1JZ MA61 conversion.

does anyone know approx how much HP these pumps (same as MA45) can feed?

if a bosch high pressure pump is put in its place would the small amount of sucking it needs to do damage the pump? as i know they dont particularly like to suck.

thanks

why not just get a big in-tank pump?

edit: the stock pump is good for well over 200rwkw

i reckon u need an external bosch pump (as well as the current pump -read lift pump) run it of your fuel pump relay as i have on my mx83/chaser.

If its just a 1JZ (not GTE) the stock pump will flow enough for him, as stated its good for 200rwKw plus. If you want to try and improve on that a Bosch pump from a EFI Camira JB-JD flows more at higher pressure and is designed to be an externally fitted hi-flow pump. Rock on down to your local Nick-a-Part and try and find a 'fresh' Camira still with its original fuel pump.
Cheers,
Mitch.
