ae86 4age sprinter *SOLD*	Fri, 05 December 2003 03:26

car is now sold hoep the new owner gets as much fun and enjoyment out of my baby as i did regretfully 4 sale due 2 loss of license and no where 2 store her THE GOOD 83 white blue interior ae86 toyota sprinter 4age big port conversion with new 4age (not 4ac) air conditoner inc new type of gas (r134 i think it is) conversion blue slipped so numbers match on rego papers sports exhaust (think is 2 1/2 inch) air filter jdm spec steering wheel jdm spec 13's x4 off a trueno/levin gt-apex ae86 14's x4 csa blue interior all rust cut out and repaired professionally (stored undercover since this has been done awaiting respray) no accident history fluids changed regularly when driven with mobil variety inc mobil 1 mainly ran on shell optimax believe the engines been modified by prior owner as this car is quicker than similar specced ae86's THE BAD no rego needs respray , blue slip cracked dash, centre console lid and radio surround intermitant exhaust rattle near head not lsd THE DETAILS im syd based and after $4,000 it is negotiable and may sell the spare set of rims seperately if buyers finances are limited ps it is NOT the one in my avator pps will consider a trade and $$$ adjustment 4 either a ke15 or ae71 preferably with 4ag(z/t)e engine ppps located in south west sydney [Updated on: Fri, 26 December 2003 13:35] [Report message to a moderator]

Sounds like it could make a nice project car. Realistically, what sort of work would it require to pass a blue slip? Anything that might prevent it passing, such as: oil leaks? bald tyres? Shonky wiring? too noisy? thanks [Report message to a moderator]

to pass a blue slip it would require a respray as far as i know no oil leaks tyres might be questionable depending upon price payed and what set of tyres are put on wiring previously checked and fusable links replaced as the only prob runs a resonator and walker muffler so isnt overtly loud [Report message to a moderator]

I've had the car for about 4 years. I bought it as a painted rolling shell. It had already had the rust cut out and repaired. Can't tell if it's ever been in an accident.
I had a showroom condition KE11 that was written off so I pulled the interior (including dash) out of it and put it in this new shell. There are a couple of small paint chips around the back, and a small spot of rust developing on the lip of one of the rear guards.
I'm not too sure if I wanna keep it or sell it just yet, so just checking what options are around. It's damn near getting on the road, I've got a couple of things left to do with the 4AGE to get it running.
The engine is a freshly rebuilt and run in ZE block with a bigport head. I planned to turbo it eventually, hence that particular combination. here's some more pics.

The car is very close to being on the road. As soon as I find a couple of fuel line fittings with a male thread, and hook up my coil/ignitor and MAP sensor, I'll be able to start it. From there I just need to arrange a custom throttle cable, get my radiator modified, and sort out something with the tailshaft and it's ready to drive! T [Report message to a moderator]

thanks steve im suprised myself it hasnt sold yet either as heres an ae86 with what most pll desire in their car like 4age conversion done blue interior inc rear parcel shelf jdm steering wheel jdm rims zorst all rust professionally fixed by body builder and all it needs is rego paint and 3 pieces of interior trim oh well if worse comes to worse ill scrap another ever decresing example to cube level [Report message to a moderator]
