Not scratch any easier, but it WILL show up ANY little marks you get on it.

I cant think of any reason to go matt black, except to go for the "cheap dodgy jap drifter" look - and then if you get a scratch on it, you can always draw a sad face and an arrow pointing to the scratch in liquid paper or something :\

just carry a few aerosols of paint arround with you, if someone touches, or a bird craps on your car, just give it a quick touch up.

Why don't you paint the car in chalkboard paint?

Chalkboard paint was done years ago, one of the show cars in the states, would've been a honda, for sure.
Novel idea, as you can change the shopping list to suit the current fads.
I have a matt black bonnet, i was extremely bored, and i have a spare bonnet. So i went to town and bought two cans of matt black from bunnings and did a spray job. Good tip for the aerosol fans out there, don't wash your car with a high pressure washer
And it's cheaper to spray over the bird poop than to clean it off again, car lovers requires a minimum spend of 3 dollars now. A can of matt black, $2.74, now that's value.

i can imagine " your car is ghey " written on a matt black cheapo drifter mobile ..
that is unless its Witzls and his buddys old corolla - that thing just oozes " speed demon on retreads "

Does anyone remember ages ago when Beyond 2000 or the like was still running (obviously they can't call it that anymore or we'd have all of these mad gadgets hehheh) there was a story done on a latex based car paint? You could basically paint on any colours/designs etc, and when you get sick of it just peel it off. Also works to protect your car's original paint job.

LOL I remember that episode, I thought that was really cool! It would take a lot of the stress out of getting a respray - if you don't like the colour, just peel it off and start again.
Man I'm getting a flashback to the 80's when you mention Beyond 2000. Where are my acid-wash jeans...

An advantage of matt black paint is little reflection, so you can (try?) go out and do stupid things at night and hide more easily (not that I'm suggesting u do that ;p) - all you'll need is to remove ur reflectors and some night vision goggles and away you go
I wonder about thermal issues with australia's sun
Ever since seeing that episode I've been wondering where to get the paint from...
Mos.
PS. Wonder what the GT4 would look like matt black

Has anyone watched Luc Bessons Taxi 2? Do you remember that matt grey VIP peugeot? I think that it's one of the coolest movie cars regarding to color.
