Go Conquest, Go Conquest!
Yeah, I think there are just some things in life that should be free:
- Fully comprehensive Medical care, FOR FREE (or very VERY little)
- Public transport (I drive, I never use public transport. I still think it should be free)
- University (I droppd out in year nine, never went to uni, but I still think Uni should be free)
I wanna know where all the money is going too.
I personaly don't think that this war on terror is something we should be involved in. It's America taking oilfields. I mean, America prittymuch put the Taliban into power, as well as Saddam Hussain. It's their problem, their fault, not ours.

What are you nuts? Who do you know who can do all that on the dole? I was on unemployment for a while, and I had trouble feeding myself and paying rent, let alone buying cloths and going out!!

Remember the ATO is the organistation which collects tax, the people who set the policy are the government, it isn't the ATO's fault.

Not currently, no. But I have in the past. My point was blame the govenrment, not the ATO and its staff. The govt makes the policies, the people working at the ATO are just trying to make a living like you and me.

Kinda like the Police. The Police don't make the law, they just inforce it. When you say "I hate cops" what your saying is (well probably) is "I hate the govornment that makes stupid, detatched laws that make no sense".
I don't hate police. I just hate who they work for.

If we hate the government sooo much why don't we either:
A) Vote for someone else
or
B) Run for Government ourselves?
General rule of thumb: if your not prepared to prove you can do something better than the person you are criticizing, you might want to bight your tongue.
Before you ask, I am not a politician, nor do I believe I could do a better job than those who do. Thats why I don't stick my two cents in political discussions...

We are forced to put our two cents in. Mandetory voting. And I don't think either govornment has my best interests in mind.

Either government? last I checked we only had one...
Their job is not to have your best interests in mind, it is to have the countries best intrests in mind...
As i said you are welcome to run for government and prove how it should be done, and of course you would be completely fair and equitable, and not one person in the contry would be upset by your policies...

Would you rather non-compolsory voting?? That would be really fair to the low income earners?? look at america, generally only middle to upper class people vote, and the lower class people get consitantly screwed over. The lower class then resents the government, and rather than standing up to be counted, what do they do? stand back at the next election, because they want nothing to do with politicians. Hence the downward spiral continues.

A) Vote for someone else
There is no one else better to vote for.
B) Run for Government ourselves

The average person would never get anywhere in politics thanks to the current system.
All those back room deals going on would soon see anyone that didn't think the same way out the door.
Just my 2c
