My policy is if it isn't made from scratch, it's not food. Out of curiosity, what knives are our 54% of master chefs using? My preference, www.furitechnics.com.au
Right price, good quality and Australian company.

well
between the options listed, I'm closest to master chef - I hold no illusions that in the grand scheme of things, I'm probably really only a slightly above average cook - I just have a wide variety

Toad in the hole is sausages cooked then baked in amongst Yorksire Pudding, all the juices go through the batter, SOOO good.
Its nicer with lamb chops though

Don't have anything to do with them unfortunately. Otherwise I'd be richer and have more of them. They do do steak knives though, but at $60- EACH they won't be free with anything.
Frank, Utensil quality isn't about spending money. Just go to a good commercial cooking shop. There is one in Sydney at Tebbutt and Marion st Habberfield. Cheap as, great quality, and you can get aluminium pans.

The thing is more that I don't always cook, more because I'm lazy. I'm a pretty good cook when I get stuck into it, but because it's not my passion, I don't outlay any money towards it

This should be two polls really -
1) How well can you cook?
2) Do you cook?
On of my mates is a chef and refuses to cook anything outside work...the bastard, he makes me go to the bloody restaurant and pay!!

i use wusthof knives, only the best german steel for me
i am another that can cook anything with a recipe (i just cant understand how someone is unable to follow a recipe)
would others agree that todays females (15-25 yo's) in the majority have no fucking idea how to cook, i can cook better than any of the girls i know in that age group and so can most of my male friends

I cook when i need to
Specialise in desserts and cakes
Im masterful at steak cooking , and can make a really good sponge!
pastas + stirfrys ( ie quick simple and mega tasty ) is what i do prefer to cook though - when i need to
otherwise the whole " mum " thing rules
living at home is tops for most part - saves you money for car mods - muahaha!

And at the rate of house prices (and modding the car), I don't think I'll own a house to 40 , and living at home... Don't need effort in cooking
Cheers.

I can cook impress (just)
Good with lasagna, pasta, weird vegie dishes, stir fry and some Thai food. Good with Baked Beans and tinned soup
I'm generally to lazy to cook often, so I cook in bulk, and eat it over a couple of days.
Heaps of girls that I know can't cook, and either eat take away, don't eat, or get the bf to cook.

I'm distraught...currently still in shock...
for a good......13 years of my life...I've believed that the toad in the hole was simply and egg in the middle of a piece of bread.....
