I might be interested closer to xmas... all depends on funds. Would you be looking for something between 1000 - 2000 or more than that.. not really sure how much these cars are worth..  Would you consider selling it without the rims?

I just remembered that It's got a 5000km old clutch in there
I'll put a list prices of what I've done....
Car: 2800
Muffler + Tip: 200
Rims: 800
Clutch: 400
Lowered Springs & Shocks: 800
Alarm System: 550
So if my calculations are correct, I've spent about 5500 bucks...

I'm looking for an RA23, and although I'm in Sydney, I come to Canberra pretty much every second week. When you are serious about selling, post here. I understand you've spent $5500 and that you "arent expecting to get it", but you also have to remember you got a... umm.... orginal 30 year old car (almost) .
Here's a rough guide to what you'll probably get offered-
Your RA23, although very stock looks very clean & straight.
Although youve spent $5500, you'll get shit all for your troubles, sorry... just stating facts.
Only things you can really bump the price for is the new suspension, & decent alarm. Provided all is good mechanically, I reckon you could fetch about $3000-$3500.
I've been looking for a while, and although your car doesnt look too bad, there are cars out there with extra stuff done to them (like rack and pinion steering, engine and drivetrain mods etc.) that are selling for about 4-5k.
But as I said previously, when you get serious about selling, give a serious price to negociate on and you'll get a better idea on it's worth.

I get about 400km per 45 ltrs around town. that's a little over 10 ltrs / 100kms.
I'd say the tank is 55ish ltrs.
If you really want a car, you get a loan. That's what I did

RA23s weigh 1040kgs, and 18rcs weigh more than 2ts for obvious reasons.
If you're not wanting to make that little trip from sydney to Canberra, trust me it's worth the trip, and you will buy this car. It's in awesome condition for an original.

Well considering your gonna have to put another years rego, and what ever has to come with it to get it to be competant for rego, i would say high $2000s, if not low $3000Also considering you can now get rola gtis or sxs for low $4s!
