you will need a custom bellhousing to mate the gearbox first. i believe the w58 is longer then the t50. if thats the case the tailshaft would require shortening and balancing

Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost for a tailshaft to be shortened and balanced?

Even if the tailshaft was the right length (which I can guarantee it isnt, it will need to be approx 20mm shorter), you would still need to change the tailshaft slip yoke, cause the sprinter box output shaft is 22 spline (and small) and the W5* is a larger 21 spline.

Either way tailshaft and bellhousing need to be modified.

hey Bill, you seem to have every parts that's got to do with 4age and sprinter? too bad you're in Brisbane...

but how many arm and leg will that bellhousing cost? And how much more modification needed to fit it to a sprinter (tail shafts etc. cost)

gt20v - I think all that's been covered above. But anyway, a modified tailshaft, new crossmember, and a try to find a W box that has the extension housing with the gearstick as far forward as possible.

hi Bill, why the crossmember?

but with the gear stick I assume you can weld anything on there anyway right?

also would you know where I can source a EFI fuel tank? I'm getting sick of the fuel smell in my sprinter... Mad

so how much were you after for the bellhousing? how many you got?

Heh! I have tail shaft from corolla that has W-series yoke. This is original toyota shaft not a modified one. This would fit nicely into AE-86.

No auto. It's from manual. I have CE-70 corolla (diesel) it has W51 gearbox and shorter tail shaft with W-yoke. I could measure the shaft.
