For Sale: 74 TA22 Celica in Sydney Thu, 04 December 2003 03:57 Go to next message
Have a 74 TA22 for sale, bought it the other day, but found I haven't got the sufficient funds to fix her up. Only 3 days of rego left, and will need a fair bit of work to pass, mainly rust underneath the doors and in the foot wells. I'm willing to break up into parts if no one wants the whole car.
Here's some of the good stuff:
-Sunroof fitted, doesn't leak either, looks very cool.
-Bonnet is the air intake style, told it's pretty rare by the guy I bought it off (will post some pictures soon).
-Spare diff and engine (unsure of condition)
-Holly carbie(USA brand I'm told)
-Dashboard is pretty immaculate other than a cracked temp guage.

I was driving her round last night, goes pretty well, the steering, brakes and gearbox feel solid, but then something went pretty seriously wrong with the clutch, and I ended up having to get a tow. So she's not really driveable at the moment.

Price: $1000 for the lot

Give me a call on 0438-981-950 or PM me if your interested.
I live near Chatswood, Sydney.

Steve

Think both engines are the 2T, but i'll double check tommorrow just to be sure. Going to check out the clutch tomorrow aswell. Should be able to get it working, so the thing can still be test driven.

I like the vents, very old skool & "tough" looking. G/L with the sale.

you've got some nice interior, looks average, but condition is good, specially the dash. I'd think about it if it was down here.

Bonnet looks like it has been machine formed so may be powerbulge, if it's custom then it's a really good job, has a little bit of rust on one corner, but easily repairable, other than that it is perfect with no dents. At the moment I'm looking to mainly sell the whole thing, but if no ones interested in a week or two, then I'll be selling as parts. The clutch is ok but will need attention, the car can still be test driven though.

if it gets pulled to bits I wont be happy. coz I'd take the dash, centre console, heaps of interior bits if it was down here, and bonnet and sunroof ! Front bumper (looks very straight)
