Anyone on here put a HU in the space where the normal TA22 AM radio sits. Only have about 170mm of space to fit a HU but it seems all the normal ones these days are much longer...

Anyone?

My sister has got a single din unit in hers, but you have to cut a bit out on the heater control side. I think one of the controls sits against the stereo afterwoods but you can get one in, if you're willing to butcher the dash a little Smile

Hi dudes....
Ive done some TA22 stereo's and they can go ... Cool

1/ In the centre console, if you havent got one that fits a stereo find one..

2/ Make a new glove box insert inside the glove box (the cardboard peice) ive done one out of MDF and Fiberglass, then its looks like you dont have one.

please don't do any dash butchering they are a nice looking dash.

greg - i had a single din put in the dash of my ta22 - they cut the heater controls to fit it - makign it basically unable to operate notmally ..

Just make up a custom centre console , and house it in that - and put say extra guages in the area vacated by the other radio - OR a storage compartment .

pha, console is en-route, and a piece of plastic (hopefully around that size) will live in the stereos place. anyone know of a yota blanking plate that will fit there, like from a corolla, corona or something?
