Did anyone watch the Hong Kong car flick on SBS the other night called The Legend of Speed? I missed the beginning whic I've read has a great bike racing since. The main racing is actually between an EVO and a STi WRX.
It was made in 1999 before Fast and the Furious came out and I swear the makers of FATF stole the computer controlled NOS scene from this HK movie.
It's not as good as FATF but still 10 times better than In the Red.

Yeh I watched up until the guy killed his girlfriend, I though the movie looked kind of funky. 
The bike scene was pretty decent. And some of the chicks were bad either

Yeah i saw it.
Got to love those warp speed effects when the nos kicks in.
And i don't remember seeing any under car neons or doofdoof stereos anywhere in the movie. 
Still got to love the step thru bike race when his old man cut the brakes and ripped of the speedo needle.

I almost forgot, there is a small drifting scene in the final race. Don't blink or you will miss it. Looked like it was digitally created.

Look for the Shuto Kousoku Trial , as well , it has the Drift king doing the driving scenes , it a five part series . And also very hard to find is the first episode of the Legend of the speed . The one on sbs was the second .

the movie was good... but he killed his g/f... thats just idiotic...

Well the C#%t behind him did ram him. He also planted the drugs and drove off leaving the car the burn and explode.

The legend of speed u saw on SBS was actually the sequel. part 2.
The 1st movie was based solely on bikes...
