You can get the chrome dispersion (like liquid chrome) to make the paint fairly easily these days. It's how they do chrome rims and "shadow chrome" effects. It just costs an absolute fortune.

i had my freaking valve caps stolen.. little polished silver or chrome hexagonal valve caps... had my car dinged my trollies and shit.. no-one owns up
annd someone ran into the rear end of it in a parking lot

Aderaide is the worst, spesh if your a P plater...My accord was egged 3 times and key'd 2 times as well as the front kicked in after I had my crash...i could have salvaged that front and they mutilated it worse....

I've dreamed of doing this to an old VW Combi van. Putting two huge things that look like bits of bread on the top and a spare wheel on the back with a cover that looks like a dial and calling it the "Toasty".
Can you picture it?

I guess if you could find a way of maybe putting a thin layer of clear over it so you could avoid all the fingerprints and stuff then it wouldnt be as high maintenance.
