300 for a set of 4 sounds pretty damn cheap, depending on what type
I got my set of 4 hard gas shocks for $330... and that was REALLY cheap

Sorry to jump in on this post...

I don't know if anyone can help me but I'm trying to find a suitable KYB shock insert for my car. I'm going to be cutting the strut to regain some suspension travel after being lowered.

Anyhows... The problem i'm having is trying to find out what spring rates the KYB shocks can handle. I'm assuming they are all valved differently depending on what car they are designed for. But how do you find out? I've spoken to KYB and they were as useless as two tits on a bull. I'd have thought they would have that information but nope..

I want to run some 5kg springs (280pounds) and want to make sure the shock I choose can handle this. The AE92 shock is around the right length, but I have heard rumors these wont handle a spring rate as high as I want to run.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Joel

Seen lots of ads for them in magazines. Look pretty good to me.
