You can make anything fit with a grinder, some thought before hand, and how the manifold makes the turbo sit in the bay.
If i were you i'd think about what you want to do with your car first, if it's drag, sure get the biggest turbo, if it's just for street, you will get annoyed with too much lag.. there was a post recently asking whats the best (?) turbo to run on a 4a, so take a look at that..

apparently WRX turbos are the go for 4As.
you'll want the earlier and larger TD05, not the smaller and later TD04.

Not that he said it had to fit INSIDE the bonnet, so the hole cutting idea is somewhat flawed

Well, if it needs to fit in the engine bay how about just putting it where the Radiator is (used to be). I mean radiators are hardly show stoppers are they? so who cares if you remove them

get 4 CT9's, restud the exhaust ports on the head, and bolt them on directly.. might be a bit of a tight squeeze, but it'd be fooly sik a'ight....
even better, just get the biggest turbo you can find, botl to exhaust, and then just connect up the comressor to a BOV, that way you'll never have any lag, even with a really big turbo, but you still get the full sik turbine sound and the BOV swaction (sweet-action) that pulls da chix.

seriously though, Dr 4age, tell us what it is you are trying to achieve (drag car - much lag, or largest PRODUCTIVE turbo fitment for street use, or autosalon big shiny dick hanging out the bonnet style) and maybe we can come up with some constructive suggestions

you could physically fit a T?? (whatever those huge ones are) if you move the radiator, but the problem is that it might take a long time at full throttle at redline rpm, to actually spool the thing... like a minute perhaps??
i hear reports of T3/T4 hybrids making around 350-400hp, but they are not streetable. (neither is 400hp in a FWD )
whereas a T25 or T28 might be a good size for street (so i gather from random threads you can find if you search)
so whats it for>?

You could try this turbo.
But only if you didn't actually want to hit boost
