Ok, not 100% for sale but looking to see what people will pay, ( prolly not what im looking for but hey!

Ok originally off of Patrick from these forums so some of you may know the car......

Car: 1985 AE86 oz spec

Mods: Starlet Gt buckets pair, jdm steering wheel, carbon fibre bonnet, yokys 539s, tinted windows, tape deck and pioneers, kyb shocks and king springs not yet installed

Maintainence: Tappets, wheel bearing, drum shoes, g/box and diff fluid change, alternator, alignment and balance, only run on BP ultimate, grease nipples, new door hinges ( no sag ), steering rack rebuilt ( NO PLAY ) regular servicing ( all fluids always looked after, service record, recipts avail for most work.......

Condition Notes:
Body: Reasonable considering age, straight, dent in roof, and "trolley dents" and chips. Rust, in hatch, rear left gaurd, and a bit inside the passenger door. No Bog! Resprayed front quarter...

Engine: 311,000 kms, Rebuilt according to previous owner and blows NO smoke. Hole in exhaust so its kinda noisy but fine. Regualy maintained serviced every 6,500km.....

Gearbox: Sweet!

Diff: Bit of play

Brakes: Good, new fluid

Interior: Good! One of those dash mats LOL! seats, wheel, yeh....
sansui tape deck with 2 pioneer speakers

May have b4 sale: New rear tyres and a strut brace.....

3 months rego

Reason for sale: Possibly going overseas and debts, but definitely buying another 86, if this is for sale ( if i go ) when i get back id love to buy it again! Great car served me well!

This car owes me a lot!

I really really want $3,500 but offers around $3,100 r cool
but as i said sale NOT definite, it all depends on if i get into this course or not, if i dont, off the paint shop and in goes the 4age! Let me know, pics r a possibiliy

Call me on 0407716089, the car may be out at drift day so you can see it there, unless my mate drives!

nice car but for a sprinter thats done 311,000km with a 4A-C, with rust inside and out (ie it can spread), roof and "trolly" dent/scratches asking $3,100 Rolling Eyes is still more than what it is worth, sorry dude but you would be looking at arround the mid $2,000 or a bit less mainly cos of the km, rust and that its Aus spec. If you are still unsure take a look at the trader and you will find that most aus spec sprinters go for about $2,000 and the ones that are more expensive are the ones with engine conversions + less km.

perhaps ur forgetting the bonnet, the sound system, bucket seats, wheel, tinted windows and suspension mods...

3k is a bargin for a car thats got some mods and requires a little work...

an engine swap and a de-rust and it'll be sweet...

good luck selling it

$1200 for a sprinter with age?? considering a recon age is about 1200 it was more likely to be engine only, but u saw the ad, so if it were in an 86 it would have to be a write off!!! otherwise it wouldve been sold in about 32 seconds, as long as it takes for a net page to load up and to dial his number!!!

slightly modded sprinters go for $3,100!!! Very Happy

bought it off a guy who works at autobarn mile end, its got a little surface rust and some rust hidden behind the rear bumper, its all in orriginal condition, but it has gone thru a weight reduction, so no carpet, sound board, useless wiering, ducco etc. but all of that stuff is in the boot and comes with the car. The 4A-C had a rebuild 30,000km ago and its done 260,000km so far. just minor paint required since when the ducco was taken off there is oxide primer underneath so bout $200 for a respray of the side pannels, the hood and bumpers have been resprayed black and the dash is being reconditioned. no dents or nething and straight chassie so its all good body wise. so i rkn its a good buy for 2k. only thing i need tho is one of those jdm steering wheels that you got lawson, where can i get myself one of them?

all i can say is...WTF! and WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!, sure say that you think it is a bit much but atleast say why you think so. Dont just post trader adds, and at that 3 out of 4 of the adds you posted contradict your argument as they are above $3,100.

And not wanting ne of those just because of their colour? DUDE! if you want a sprinter but you are turned off it becuase it isnt "white" then you shouldnt really be looking for one in the first place :/ and guessing from ur name i can see why you want a white one. Sorry to break your bubble but...YOU CANT DRIFT LIKE TAKUMI! ITS CALLED FICTION! BAKA! jeez some people these days.

(hundreds of other quotes from these forums could go here too)

yeah, F##K those white/black truenos, what the hell were toyota thinking when they released such a car!?
lots of people on these forums seem to hate panda truenos. so now i hate them too. i like following the crowd.
i agree with everyone, iniD sucks big. I mean why the hell would someone make a comic/cartoon about street racing? thats soooo stupid man!

PS: lawson, sorry to litter your topic with garbage. there is so much hate.

PPS: call me, let me know when i can check out your car! this weekend is good for me. 0433 125 415.

There is nothing wrong with ID, its just the fact that ppl coppy it is what is being hated on these forums, infact many of us like the anime including myself.

Why make a "comic/cartoon" about street racing you ask? because in the mid 1990's street racing was very popular and still is hence the evergrowing strong popularity of the anime. If ur still unsure why dont u ask the other 20 million odd initial d fans why its so popular Laughing

Oh and also if you are so against it why is Itsuki (one of the main characters of initial d) your avatar? ^_^

p.s sorry for the slight hijack lawson ^_^

Yep this is a sound-as AE86, owner has respected and maintained it well since purchase, and gone to much hassle to do many small things that usually go unmentioned in sales.. such as doors hinges, tight steering, regular servicing, etc.

If i had the money i would buy it off you in a flash, more reliable than my celica thats for sure, and just that 200kg lighter Laughing mmmm 4A-gte or 13B-Turbo hahaha Evil or Very Mad which would be quicker i wonder?

Good luck with selling it mate if you do, but you really should keep it unless your thinking of getting another 86 from NZ, GT-APEX spec Shocked
