anyone have a website for engine comparisons? Thu, 29 January 2004 05:02 Go to next message
Hi all,

I know its not really tech, but in a way - it is.

I want to know if anyone has a good website for Toyota engine comparisons?

in particular (without starting a flame war on these motors)
1ggte, 7mgte, 3sgte, 1jzgte, 2jzgte,

basically what I want to know is things like standard hp, ease of mods, cost, good / bad points of each - -

but like I say I don't want a flame war here about the greatness of one engine compared to another, I'd rather do some reading without getting peoples opinions (if that's possible)

*I've had to rethink my ideas on a 3sgte for my conversion...**SIGH** so now I have to research, I've seen lots of talk of 1ggte vs others and 1jzgte vs others etc etc...but that's not really what I want. Just want the plain 'claimed' info from manufacturer.

I'll ask for peoples opinion on drive ability, efficiency, power to $ later Smile

Cheers everyone!

A little sarcasm goes a long way:

you do a search for 'engine comparison' and see what LITTLE information you get.

7mgte VS 1jz VS 2jz

http://www.jza70.com/articles/engine_comp_chart/en gine_comp_chart.html

Probably not entirely accurate, buts its not bad. Has some US pricings also.
