Going to look at a 73 celica tomorrow for first car. It is twin cam so I am assuming 2tg. Anyway basically I have no idea what I should be looking at (for) and what questions i should be asking this dude. If anyone could give me some idea it would be much appreciated.

What to look for?
1. Rust.
2. Dodgy panel repairs.
3. Rust.
4. Excessive body filler.
5. Rust.
6. The usual mechanical problems you get with old cars.
7. Rust.
Get the picture?

I got another dumb beginner question.
Can you get an air cond unit to fit in those mustang shape celicas? because i love those celicas but summer in Perth means riding in a car like that will be the same as riding in a heater.

yes an original air con exists, but it is not easily come by. i think some people have adapted other air con units.
and yeah, rust behind all wheels, rust on the roof around the edges, rust under rear window, gearbox, general engine.
ummmmmm those are the problems with my gf's ta22, just tryin to think of anything else. wheel bearings, brakes, diff, really just about anything can be broken on a 30 year old car

Check all the rubber seals, rust, hinges, rust, and rego/roadworthy is a good haggling point.
