Hi all.

Can anyone recommend an auto electrician around the brighton/glenelg area? My Celica XX needs a bit of work (headlights wont go up/down, hazards and horn don't work...) and I want the job to be done by either me, someone I know and trust, or a pro I can trust!

Thanks

Chris

Edwardstown

What did you see the above Auto Electrician for? Does he know anything about MicroTech's or how to hook up Toyota ECU's and various other bits regarding electrics trying to match up on a 1JZ-GTE to a GZ20 Soarer. In other words, anything about Jap import ECU's and engines?

Well they are very thorough guys, but when it comes to jap stuff, they are very weird in the sense that they see jap stuff as the unknown, but when i took all my gear in i brought along manual and info on all the gear they were working on.

I took it in to get the car started as one of the relay's or sensors wasn't working and all those long hot sinky days forced me to give it to the specialist. In the end it was a damn AFM (BUT I WONT GO THERE)!

The principal of checking faults on a car are the same, it's just how you apply these prinicpals and these guys do it well. I was recomended by the fussiest mechanic i know so they need to be good to keep on recieving his work.

But then again, i personally have only sent my car once so i can only speak from this experience.

I took it to Eddies Auto Electrical. Gary there does an excellent job. He is excellent with conversion wiring, 1JZ's and aftermarket ECU's.

Yeah Gary's at Eddies is great, only problem is hes always so busy. I got alot more stuff I want him to fix up in my AE86 but can't afford to have it off the road for too long.

I Just got my car back from Gary's (Eddies Auto electrical). He did an excellent job in the end, he's a top bloke and really helped out with the final price of the job.

I'd recommend him to everyone, at this stage he is very popular and busy so make sure you can set aside a few days for big jobs.

He's into imports especially Nissan's, Toyota's and Mazda Rotaries.

I saw the R31 Skyline drift car there "Bowser" in a different colour and alot of work has been done to it. I'd say it would be at the next drift meet. It looks PH-fat.

Very Happy
