MAP ECU pickup when using quad throttles with trumpets Wed, 14 August 2002 11:13 Go to next message
Does anyone have any experiance with trumpets on the 20V ?

Im thinking I will prolly have to t-piece all 4 after the butterfly's and run that to the ecu sensor?

or can you just pick of one? (perhaps too jittery)

Is it to suit an already running 20v or to adapt to a 16v?

is it for a 20V ECU or the std ECU? The standard ECU will not work with the 20v motor. Totally different fuel and ignition maps. If its for the 20v ECU, then there should be a pickup on the intake manifold that already has a port where you can tap into.

If it's a silvertop 20V then it will use an air flow meter (AFM) which means it's impossible to remove the airbox and retain the factory ECU. Blacktop 20V's on the other hand are MAP sensored so it may be possible.
