Rod Millen IS430 custom on TV. Sat, 07 February 2004 14:33 Go to next message
Show called Rides in North America had Rod Millan on doing an IS300 up. V8 engine from a GS430 (3UZ), 6 spd. transmission from a Supra (V160) and tuned to 350hp NA. It was done for Lexus.

Sweet car, could spin the rears easy. Why Lexus didn't get TRD to do it?

I taped it, but gave the tape to a friend. I'll see what I can do.

Could someone host it if I uploaded it?

Its not the first time they've done a car. They did the Lexus Street rod and the "ultimate concept" Celica (both millen and TRD did that)

Unfortunately I gave the tape with the show to someone else. No use sending the tape to Australia, you guys run a different video format for TV and it won't play without video transfer.

I will try recording the show next time it comes on TV with my computer and making a VCD. Then we'll have to see if you can play that or if it needs conversion.

Hang on tight, don't know when it will be repeated again. They already repeated it once. I only have cable right now, so it might take a while. Damn Rupert Murdock and DirecTV satellite did a card swap, there is no hack as of yet for the new card and I don't have the equipment/card dump to try hacking it myself.

Maybe time to hack the other sat gear I have sitting around still new in the box.

NTSC is crap, but it's not a hurdle, if you get it over here, we'll be able to play it! Razz

Some VCR's will convert to PAL, and many TV's these days are capable of displaying either NTSC or PAL.
