Thats probably a pretty good price for a 3SGE rebuild, does that include labour or is that extra, cause if it's extra then no probably not. Had a friend who got a performance rebuilt 3SGE gen2 for $4000 including labour to drop it in, thats the only indication I got sorry.

Question is that a full rebuild or just a bottom end rebuild?

what between a full rebuild and bottom end rebuild,

well bottom end they rebuild the block only, on a full they do the head as well.

Yeah i know your not doing a performance rebuild, but like I said that is the only indication I got.

2500 it sounds steep, but that would proably be the average cost to get a 3S rebuilt, when I blew mine I was quoted $3500 to rebuild here and I said fuck that.

like Rob said get some more quotes....

And 3S engines are never as chaep as you think, in importers adds the say they're about $750, but I have never seem one below $1100

Just for comparison, I did a rebuild myself and it totalled up to about $1800 (I had to get some people to do some work for me afterwards tho). That included head work, bottom end and fuel injection stuffs. It'd be cheaper if you don't **** things up like I did too Smile
