Don't worry cause when my Sprinter is ready I wont loose to either one, unless the GTR's are fully worked.
My Sprinter: 3SGTE, forged pistons, Microtech LT-8, Supra 5 speed, rebuilt CT26 from 7mgte etc. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
To all the GTR's trying to take me on Twisted Evil

Isn't the 3S-GTE an east-west config engine?
Do you have to modify the mounts to fit it into a sprinter?

3S has been put in a lot of different engine bays, from Supras and Altezzas to Camrys and Celicas. I think if you do need different engine mounts it can't be that hard to do.

I'm tired of hearing people saying its not too hard to put a 3SGTE in a Sprinter, just get some custom mounts and slap it in.
Yeah right! If it was that easy my car would've been ready one year ago. Try:
Custom gearbox mounts,
plenum,
exhaust manifold,
Fire wall cut for the dizzy,
heater box cut and plastic welded cause of the fire wall cut,
Starter motor custom mounted on the other side of the bellhousing,
The list goes on and on, there is heaps more little fiddly things like custom accelerator cable, which radiator to use.
If I wrote all the things that need to be done when doing this conversion I'll give people headaches from reading. Imagine the headaches I went through.
Anyway I drove the car for the first time last night and I can say it was all worth it. Very Happy Had a smile from ear to ear. The money the time all the headaches, it finaly payed off.
The rev limiter is set on 5000 and its running 10psi after I run the motor in the rev's go up and so does the boost. The motor has been built to handel 25psi all day long. Evil or Very Mad
Sorry if I was a bit harsh before, but in all honeaty it is a very hard convertion.
See you on the streets Cool
