Anyine hear that neal bates motorsports been selected to sell TTE gear in oz ?
That means a HEAP of better than TRD gear is on the way for engine mods ! 
YAY!!!
And they are also offering TTE upgrades for cars ( such as the echo , MR2 , is300's, celicas etc !
I wonder if they will have the tte 3sgte gear readily available

i believe that bates already has a fair bit of gear for the 3sgte, considering they still build ST205 cars other people, and his corolla still uses the 3sgte...
but than again, knowledge is only a phone call away!

I know Mr Jeff Shafer who is the resident TTE dude in Caringbah Toyota. He's been telling me this has been on the way for some time. Him and Neal Daniel (the first modified RAV4 driver in Australia - Sprintex supercharged) are TTE rep's and I believe Mr Daniel is the brains-trust behind the Sportivo range of current model Toyota's.

umm, how about a supercharger for the current 2.4L VVT-i (2AZ-FE) engine? What does the current Celica use? I know this engine is used in the 2004 model RAV4's, and I'd LOVE to see one of these implemented into it. These superchargers are over in the US at the moment, being used on some Scion cars (I think it's the tC) ?
There's definitely some feasible mods to do - just a question of how deep your pockets are...

very interesting
the current celica and corolla sportivo engine is a 2zz-ge i believe. dont really understand why its called a 2 when its 1.8 :P Also there are a few aftermarket turbo kits, but these dont alter compression ratios. If TTE came up with one for the engine that did, that could be nice :)

2ZZ has VVTL-i. I thought the current MR2 still only had the 1ZZ, with just the VVT-i.

Yeah I have heard that.
They already get me basically anything I need anyways so im not sure that anything will have changed
