Keep my GZ10 or update?: oppinions wanted!

In a few weeks I "should" have around 12 grand to play with
now ive got to choose 1 of 2 options
I can keep my current gz10
Its already got 17 inch rims with dunlop fm901's with lowered king springs and decent shocks. Handles great(only weighs 1200kg)
With the 12 grand I can get:
-a 1jz in with mods(to run around 180rwkw)
-full respray aswell with all bodywork(bare metal on the cheap from gf's dad)
-and get interior fully retrimmed with leather(maybe a bit more than 12 all up.. but close)
The other option is get a nearly stock ma70 or mz21 and get some decent suspension and rims and spend rest on mods
The gz10 would generally go faster and handle better.. but im still not sure..
Im not sure what to do at all, any help would be appreciated
Thanks

the thing is though if I sell it.. i wont have something unique nor that will handle as well nor go as fast..
it will be getting all those things with the money, engine with mods, interior retrimmed and full respray
vs getting a newer model but slower car

as I said, I would keep it for the reasons that it is one of the lightest, legal cars you can fit a 1jz into and it is very unique and from what I saw was in pretty damn good condition for a car that age!

If you sell the GZ10 you WILL regret it later on. Keeping it is the only option.
Callum
PS- I know where two are ready to be chopped up for parts for a speedway car, don't let yours head the same way.

Keep it! There is no other option. You have something unique, light that handles well and can take a 1JZ.
You can be "just another Z3 Soarer owner" or drive something much heavier like a MA70 or MZ20, or you can shove a 1JZ into your GZ10 and enjoy its total uniqueness...

yeah.. i think ill keep it.. the only thing that is stopping me from going 100% on that thought is rust... availability of cosmetic
parts(like the front end i need)
resale doesent bother me cause when im finished with it.. ill keep it forever... ish
thanks alot guys

Seriously dude, I'd be spending some of that money to get it resprayed and the rust removed. If someone does it right, it's not going to come back for a very long time if at all!

Keep it, thoes GZ10 are a really cool car. Or if you want the best, sell it and get an RA28.
I was looking at a GZ10 the other day and thinking that it has a really cool kind'a style about it. Not quite Japanese, maybe a little bit of american styling in it. Either way they look cool.
I have a vague recollection of someone putting a MA70 front on one of these. Made it look a little like a Triumph TR7 on roids.

on that topic, I saw pics of a jza70 with an mz20 front and it looked awesome!
I liked it much better than the mz20 with the ma70 front.

You'd have to compare the lengths to find out, it'd have to be close.
