I was just wondering what inlet temperatures people are getting on their 1JZ's.

Using the standard GZ20 intercooler mine is getting very hot 50-80C on above 30C days. The air temperature sensor is on the inlet manifold. This is running around 15PSI of boost and not driving hard.

I am yet to see what it is like running on a cool night.

I still have a large FMIC to go on eventually though and I am having overheating problems.

Hey Danish!

I have a HPI magazine where Martin Donnon measured the temps of his Soarer before and after a few runs somewhere - I'll try to dig it up. Essentially a better intercooler made a big difference on inlet temps.

The GZ20 intercooler is pissweak on a 1g - I imagine it'd be hopeless with the 1jz. Get that hybrid cooler on there ASAP!

And for the Adelaideans - thank god for the return to cooler weather! Car feels 10 times quicker when it's 20 degrees and not 40 degrees!!
