SC14 in a Volvo

Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and I have a question.
I have a 1985 Volvo 240 with a SC14 supercharger that I put in. I have done all the work myself and it has turned out to be a great project.
My question is this: How fast can I spin this charger? I am running about 6lbs of boost and I want to go at least 12. The motor it is on is a 2.3, so I am assuming that it would have to spin fairly fast to supply me with the air flow I need.
Any thoughts?
Heres a pic. Don't mind the adjusting mount as it is temporary.
and one of the car in question

As far as I know the SC14 can be run at anywhere up to double the factory speed.

ROFL.
Matt black.... looks like that photo is from a cartoon.
The SC14's are rated to spin up to ~10k RPM.
The SC12's to ~12k RPM

is that belt going to hold up when/if you spin the SC at 10-12 Krpm ?
i would think that somethine a little wider might be more suitable - plus running it off the crank pulley would safer (and less likely to cause the water-pump bearing to fail)
i'm impressed that it's working at 6psi with no idler pulley to keep tension on the belt... i take it that you're taking up the slack purely with the adjuster?

I think it will, I have a ton of tension on it. and if fry the waterpump bearing its no big deal, I can get another pump for ~$20.

What is factory speed?

Ya for now I dont need an idler pulley, but with the upped boost I might need one. So yes, it is only the adjuster that is taking up the slack.
