Hey
I can't seem to locate where my engine number is on my 4age engine, which side is it supposed to be on.... i need to give it to vicroads and insurance company for the 4age into my ae86
any help?

Passenger side of the engine block at the back, under neath the exhaust manifold..
On my GZE its next to the starter motor (pass side) but i dont know if yours is on the same side so....

As above and the number runs vertically up and down the side of the block near the corner.

sorry to bring up old thread, but least i searched 
umm i need to fill out a change of engine form and need the new number, the engine is already in the car and running, can the engine number be seen without taking the starter motor and headers off??

The number is written vertically down the front passenger side of the block. Look below the exhaust pipe for number 4 cylinder next to the edge and above where the gearbox joins the block.
