There were 2 versions of the sega mega drive 2, a no cd, and one with a cd, and you could buy a cd attachment for the other one, the cd games were crap. i think the SMD2 was a 16bit systems and the sega mega drive 1 was only 8 bit, besides the visual enhancements nothing else changed, dont forget the sega saturn!!!!!!!

No i BELIEVE.
Megadrive was originally a cartidge.
But then megacd came out.
Later on they sold megacd (Megadrive with cd) as a package.
I was going to get the megacd addon but i opted for the supernintendo option.
I've got a supernintendo with teh floppy disc addon. U boot the game from discs before u play. Anyone heard of that?

Just a thought, but have you ever thought about just playing them all using emulators on a PC? The older consoles were never known for their reliability and longevity.

I remember those PC mega drive things. They were a very limited release. Sonic the hedgehog has turned sour with all its 3d crap now.
Yeah as i was saying. I got this thing kinda like a converter for ntsc games. But its a huge chunky thing that slots in from above lke a game and has a disc drive in it. Great fun. Some games were like 1 disc to boot. Others were like 4.

Heh, on the subject of old school, anyone got any amiga stuff they don't want/need anymore?
I've just recently built up a fully loaded A500 (almost expanded to the hilt), and want more.
Also, anyone got any spare vectrex games they don't want too? I've got probably 80% of the games for one so far.

I think that would have been collecovision. (spelling)
Steering wheel and flowers?
MAME rock for arcade and atari emu's. You can get commodre, sega et al emulators as well.
Instead of a ps2 I might fit a 2600 to my crown to keep it origninal. Opinions?
