i have a toyota corolla sx ae92
i am experiencing a drop in idle when the car has been running for a while..happens mainly when the air con is on...when i turn air con on, the idle drops really low..sometimes stalls

wat do rollas idle on, in the mornings when you turn on the car??

any help??

I had this same prob on an AE82..there is a valve you can adjust for the air con idle up. It will let more air in as you unscrew it to allow the idle speed to increase

Look at this pic..to the right of the wiper motor is the a/c control valve, just where the photo is cut off there is a little spring under an adjustment screw that you can just turn by hand (has phillips head design on top)

My car idles at over 2k when cold! Settles down to just under 1 when warm

If yours is located in a different spot then trace it from the throttle body.. the below picture shows the line you should follow to the valve. In the pic from my last post the unit with the adjuster is in the very top right of the photo, you can see 3/4 of it, you should be able to find it. Let us know if you have trouble
