ahh, glad I took the time to find a thread already thanking the net nazi
Much appreciated, as GT said the outhouse has needed a serious cleanup for quite some time (as much as I love it, and even though one of the threads locked was one of mine that went way off-track)

uh huh. I agree. I hope people will still feel free to share opinions etc.. I am sure they will
I guess some people will be offended by stuff no matter and that can't be helped. like me with some of the language and topics of discussion I don't appreciate, but hey, IDO appreciate these forums for the great thing that they already are.
today, they just got better.
thanks
i wonder who the net nazi is.... maybe best he remain anonymous I suppose

yeah i have to say, as far as offensive goes it didn't bother me, Ive seen much worse.
But the fact that the forums is a medium for recruiting, knowledgeable contributors and financial members its best that it remains a friendly unoffensive forum. Its part of our responsibility as forum members to make sure the forums remain true to its original intention of being a source of Toyota knowledge and ultimately a community.
on all accounts I've read of people talking about toymods is that they usually mention that it is exceptionally moderated, unlike all the other forums out there.
reducing the toolage factor (banning) will ultimately drive some people away but in return it will promote a friendly community where valuable contributers live, learners can learn and future financial members can join.
id rather have 1 bill sherwood on the forums that 50 *insert tards nick here* on the forums
quality not quantity in the long run is much better for the club

thanks again to the board members who have replied to my PM's.

The Net Nazi has been a godsend, a lot of those threads had deviated a LONG way from their original topics. It's good to have the presence in the Outhouse where we REALLY needed it.

Just a suggestion but how about instead of just locking the stupid threads they actually get deleted?

the ones that start off ok and get stupid get locked.
offensive threads or threads with no point at all get deleted
