It will at least need to go for a blue slip. If it is modifiyed anyway it will need the relative engineers certificate.
For blue slip the car generally needs to be factory Standard Mechanically.
What car are you looking at?

90 model rodeo minitruck, bagged in the front, notched in the rear(but u cant see the notches).Apparently it has been for a blue slip on the central coast and passed easily but the guy re-registered it in wa as it is cheaper and he still has an address there.notching in nsw is illegal but your allowed to have a bag set-up.it has a new reco'd engine goin in,same type as the original, the guy is a member of groundlevel and the bags and notching have been done properly.are u absolutely sure it will have to be blue slipped.

Yes any Vehicle being registered in NSW for the first time will need to be Blue slipped. Your only real problem will be if they look closely at the rear and find the chassis modification.
The front should be fine if they haven't relocated the shock (ie welded a new piece to the suspension.

No It's what my RA28 will look like...
It's Actually Elenor (Shelby GT 500 Mustang - Gone in 60 sec.)
If it's passed blue slip before, It should pass again no worries.
