location of thermotime sensor, on 4age Mon, 15 March 2004 05:13 Go to next message
I don't know which one it is

is it the one just above the starter motor on the block...

or is it the on on the bottom water piping,

but the problem is that both of the sensors that i'm assuming are the thermotime sensor, are single wired sensors, and on the diagram it says theres a 2 wire thermotime sensor...

this is for a ae92 100kw motor, that i've put into my ae86 sprinter

so which one is it, thanks in advance

The one on the external thermostat housing water pipe is for the thermo fan.

Then there will be one on the back of the head for the gauge in the dash and also be a 2 pin one there for the ECU.

Isnt it on the back of the head, there is 2 of them, 1 is the thermotime swith (to aid cold start) and the other is for the water temp in the dash.

Please correct me if im wrong.

Did you look in the 4age book in the gallery section.

I looked int the 4age book... but the manifolds shown in those pictures arn't the same as mine... and the one that looks like mine is on the 4afe, and doesn't have a description of what it is.

Ive taken what looks to be the sensor of which i am talking about... i know its a 4afe engine, but the manifold looks exactly the same as to what i have got, but my manifold is on the front of the engine...

could ya tell me what that sensor is

my dash temp sendor, is on the front of the motor, and the guage works perfect on the dash.... but it might not be the right one... tommorrow i'll get pictures with the digi and get you guys to actaully help me out to which manifolds i've actaully got...

That's the one for the thermo fan.
