hks fuel cut
hks pod filter
turbosmart mechanical boost controller.
thas about it.. its boosting around 15psi.
and its my first time on a strip, EVER so i cant wait..
whats done to urs?

geeeeeezus that would go really well in the MA61, i cant wait to see it!
its only a 200 meter sprint sorta thing so you'd prolly give me a run for my money. auto, and turbo lag = not too quick launches.
mind you ive only had the for for 3 days. so i havent been keen to give it everything shes got yet!

I'm entering this year. Oh and Karl, I'm looking forward to giving you a run in the black beast. I probably won't win but that might have been a different story were you entering your Celica.. 
Will be interesting to see how the 'rolla goes against some of the early model Celicas!

ill be running , havent run the quater yet on street racing , whats the deal with a 200 meter strip ???? i bad fist and second gear ratios ,so my money gear isnt till i pop 3rd

I'll be there in the poopra, although I'm not expecting great things since I now have taller gears but haven't done any major mods to the engine. It does at least have better traction now thanks to the new LSD, but I don't expect to do any better than last year.
Here's hoping I don't snap my W57 on the first run... it's a long tow back to Brisbane!

Joel's best was about 10.12, mine was 10.98sec. Thats before i put the big-port/big-valve motor in (which i had when i ran the 16.8 quater).
Im aiming for a low 10, but i would LOVE to crack a 9.

Who wants to hear a V8 @ 7,300 revs?!?
I need some more 1UZs to line up against though! These little turbos scare me. Although would be good to see the difference between an NA and a turbo with similar 1/8th mile times as they'd be see-sawing up the strip (one in front, then other in front, etc)
I think the 1/8th mile is going to be good for me, long gears and long powerband, so not much gear changing needed.
On another addition to this thread, WHICH GIRLS WILL BE DRAGGING?
(my) Kylie wants to drive my car, and wants to go up against Kylie in the corolla, but I'm sure the corolla will smash her. More training needed this end.

Mine is Stock  hehe..

The car to watch though will be the JT Racing Navara. It spun up 460rwhp+ yesterday on pump fuel and only moderate boost.
He has also hinted at a shot of giggle gas to make the thing really undrivable.
Ever wanted to see a 1400kg king cab ute run deep into the 7's on the 8th mile. It may just happen this easter.

For those who may run into the sevens - be aware that the ANDRA official will tech your car if you run below 7.7sec. (tech will mean harnesses, cross ply front tyres when using slicks,etc)
That said I hope everyone gets to race all day without falling foul of the powers that be.
HKS Pete - I don't like the use of the word "smash" when it refers to Kylie driving the Corolla - I prefer the term "suck the doors off it". Good news is that (my) Kylie needs a LOT of work on launch too, and if I recall the V8 gets out of bog city much better than the 1.8.

I've got my oil cooler (BIG 24 row -10) in now and hooked up (last night in the dark). The clutch is fixed and ready to go.
Should be good for some repeat blasts down the 1/8th mile

What the? Engine too new? My engine hasn't even fired a shot since it's freshen up and it will be racing. No point waiting for it to wear out...

I'm in for the the drags,
Anyone know if a 1g celica running 14psi is likely to run quicker than 8 seconds.
I was going to make up a loop this weekend but I would be surprised if it gets below 8.

8sec 1/8th is approx 12sec 1/4. So dont bother anthony.

I did the same thing last year and regretted it.
I had to wait a year before being able to do it (sure I could've gone to eastern creek or something like that)
