 BEWARE, NEW VIRUS, I JUST GOT IT

i just turned on my comp and it said i had a new virus, i conneced to the net, updated norton and set it to work.
i have 82,000 files allup on my comp, there was 2487 infected files. none of them are my files
they have names like
{insertcelebritynamehere}head/sex/xxx/fuck.jpg.exe
and like
darkangelsnew.pif
arnoldschwarzenegger.jpg.exe
adobephotoshop 10full.exe
windows2003crack.exe
be very careful about emails u get
and make sure your virus definitions are upto date
oh and norton cant fix them, it can only quarantine

I got a virus through an email sent to me, It looked like an offical email from our internet provider saying my email would be shut down in 3 days because i had been sending out emails with a virus, it told me to read the attached file, stupid me i tried to open the file but there was nothing to read when i tried. It was a virus! Very tricky! I am usually very wary but this looked so official! The virus was a Beagle and Netsky.

yeah try avoiding downloading attachments froim ppl u dont know..or things that have .scr after the attachment name..somehow i got a virus named mshta.exe, it is also very tricky..but so am i

u can open emails but just dont open any attachments.
update your anti virus software regularly and u should be ok.

now you dont have to open the attachment, in outlook express you only have to open the email and you can get one of these new viruses, the only virus scanner that works very well is VET,
but some of you may agree and dissagree

This email virus was so convincing. The email address on the from line had From your ozzieweb administrator. Then it told me that they had complaints about mail i had sent out that had a virus and told me my email would be shut down in three days. It then proceeded to tell me to read the attachment to find out how to deal with this problem. Then it had the web address on the bottom of the email of my internet provider so i naturally thought it was for real!

well... someone who has my optusnet email address must have been infected by some irritating virus - i got 4 last night and i can only assume that the number will grow ...
but .... i too have a mac 
so the only affect on me is - more shit-email traffic, and eventually i have to change my free email address.

it's true there is a few new viruses out that you just have to open the email up and your screwed.
i've got avast antivirus it's free and has been good so far
also get sysgate firewall cause if you have a trojan you'll find out since it'll ask if you want to allow it to get threw
