It was a top day today, much better than Drag Combat in February, they even had 2 cars catch on fire and Rocco's gearbox explode on the line this time and still managed to get the track cleaned up without any big delays like they had at Drag Combat. The blue JEM Sprinter ended up running an 11.0 by the end of the day which was very nice and was one of the only Toyota powered Toyotas out there, they've got too many bloody rotories in the KEs. Also good talking with you Mick, I was the guy in the red shirt with MaNGeW and the others. You definately know your shit, those Austrack cars are all very nice and I really liked that blue TRY-O1T ute creaming one of the Rigoli WRXs. Biggest standout of the day however for me was the white MRHELI ute, that thing pulled the biggest burnouts and went like a rocket.

Now for some pics I've found pics from day 1 at HiOctane.com.au: http://www.hioctane.com.au/photos/270304/

Day 2 from HiOctane.com.au: http://www.hioctane.com.au/photos/280304/

adam (the blue JEM sprinter) spent alot of time and money on his car, makes me happy to see him run a good time, i think he can probably go faster. saturday he had some problems but got that sorted by the arvo. looks like it wont be long till he is the fastest 4A in oz.
very good weekend but still not as good as QLD jambo

juggalo i forgot to tell you the blue TRY-O1T ute weighs in at 1500kg so it is amazing for its weight. we are doing more work on it over the next month to make it a bit quicker, ANDRA made him get his race licence after its first run because it was a bit quick. sure put a smile on our faces. i enjoyed talking to you all and was great to see a toymods shirt pop in to the trade stand.

p.s this is our car after the burout,me on right after pulling the jelly legs cameraman out.

Once you guys put some more into that ute it should have some good competition once they finish the 2JZ-GTE Hilux I heard the commentators mention getting built.

Bugger,

Wish I had checked this before Now !

Kirsty and I were out there on Sunday in the Turbosmart Corporate Box. We caught up with Toyota Steve (was with Mark from Peak performance) and I had a quick chat to Adam before his runs started. Great to hear he turned an 11 flat. How did that work tho ?? He lost his first run on Sunday ?????

That little Silver KE10 with the 13B, did anyone catch its best time for the day (we bailed at the first break) He built that 7 years ago ! personal best is/was a 10.5 Not to shabby at all. I got a pic of Harrison in the drivers seat so hopefully that will come out ok.

Kingmick, I didn't know you worked for Austrack ! I assume you know Phil, I work with Jim down at SAS ! mmmm Small world Smile

Juggalo,

How can that be the only pic you got of "princess" That skirt was Soooo short. BTW she was wearing red panties on sunday Wink

Perhaps its the amount of effort you freaks put into it the tuning the night before.

I mean freaks in a good way.

Its awesome to see, i knew someone else there the black s15 with NOS, that thing has $20,000 + under the hood and it only ran a 10.9. Dont get me wrong its a excellent effort indeed, but a sprinter only 0.1 sec behind and no-where near the same money spent it fuking freaky.

Just out of curiosity what was the 60 foot time, for the 11sec pass.

Would 11sec make this the fastest street drivable ae86 in the world, It would have to be close.

Sorry for the mix up but for some reason I thought he broke out on an 11.1 dial in on his last run in the comp, it must have been another car.
