i just spent the day un-bolting things and labeling them.
Now it came to pulling the engine out and i assumed out the top was are go.
BUT! after fiddling around for a while i came to the conclusion that it was not possible as the gear box hits the left mount and battery holder, while the other side was crammed up to the body.
*** Was i wrong that it can not come out through the top???
So in the end it came out through the bottom with out to much fuss.
oh its a ae92 4agze map and NON-LSD (i think)

I always take plenty of photos when stripping things down. Digital cameras are great for that.
It is amazing how often you look up photos to see where something was connected to.
Have fun with your conversion.

it will easily come out the top if u take ur time doing it. Tilt the gearbox end a long way down and raise the drivers side as high as u can till it clears the body.
look @ www.geocities.com/kewpkewp
it's got photos of mine coming out of the half cut.

out the top? are you nuts? why bother?
1) have a good breakfast.
2) unbolt everything (like you have) and label it.
3) call 3 mates.
4) get them to pick up a carton along the way
5) get said mates to lift the body OVER the unbolted engine and gearbox
6) marvel at your work, and how much more room you have now.
7) open carton.

You would be surprised how little the body weighs when you unbolt the engine and gearbox. God knows I was with the Supra parts car we had.

Well just found out today that the ae92 sway bar wont fit my ae82 or suspension arms. so have to stick to the ae82 suspension with the bigger breaks.
